Dr. Robert Edwards is a neurologist and specialist in the treatment of Parkinson's disease who sees patients in the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Clinic at Parnassus.
In his research, he and his colleagues have identified several proteins implicated in Parkinson's. Edwards earned a medical degree at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed a residency in neurology at UCSF, where he is a professor of neurology and physiology. The recipient of numerous prestigious awards, he earned the Established Investigator Award of the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Affective Disorders, serves on several editorial boards and the scientific advisory board of the National Parkinson's Foundation.
